What we collect

When you use Curb, we collect the information you provide during the home readiness quiz, including your home's condition, rooms that need work, listing timeline, prep budget, and the state your home is located in. If you create an account, we also collect your email address.

How we use your data

Your quiz answers are sent to our AI analysis service to generate a personalized home preparation checklist with ROI estimates. Your email address is used for account authentication, subscription management, and occasional product updates. Payments are processed securely through Apple's App Store or Stripe, depending on your platform. We never store your payment information directly.

Photos (optional)

Photos are optional. When you choose to upload photos, Curb sends them to our AI provider only to generate your Visual Sell-Ready Plan. Curb does not store the raw photos, and the raw photos are not linked to your user ID, email address, or account. We use photos only to provide app features, and we never use them to track you across other apps or services.

If you skip photos, you still get a full prep plan from your answers.

• Photos you choose are sent to our AI partner (Anthropic) and analyzed to generate home-prep recommendations.
• We do not store your photos. They are analyzed temporarily to create your plan and are not retained on our servers. Only the resulting text notes are saved with your plan.
• Photos are used to personalize your plan only. They are not used to guarantee home value, sale price, or any sale outcome, and they are not used for advertising or sold to anyone.
• Photo analysis is informational and is not a home inspection. Curb does not diagnose structural, electrical, plumbing, roof, or foundation issues from a photo.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared only with the service providers necessary to operate Curb: Supabase (database and authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management), Anthropic (AI analysis, including any photos you choose to add), and PostHog (product analytics, how people move through the app). Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies. iOS payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Web payment processing is handled by Stripe.

Data retention

Your quiz answers and checklist data are retained as long as your account is active. We do not retain the photos you add; only the text notes from analyzing them are stored with your plan. You may request deletion of all your data at any time.

AI recommendations and estimates

Curb's scores, fix lists, cost and ROI ranges, sell-ready dates, and photo notes are AI-generated and provided for planning and informational purposes only. They are estimates. They do not guarantee any return on your spending, sale price, buyer behavior, appraisal value, or inspection outcome. Always verify work and decisions with qualified local professionals.

How to delete your data

Curb gives you two ways to delete your data:

Option 1, in the app:

1. Open the app and tap the gear icon (top right of the dashboard).
2. Tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm deletion. Your account and all associated data will be permanently removed.

Option 2, by email:

1. Send an email to getcurbapp@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Data."
2. Include the email address associated with your account.
3. We will process your request within 30 days.

What is deleted:

• Your account credentials (email and password)
• Quiz answers and home assessment data
• Checklist progress and completion history
• Subscription records stored on our server

What is retained: Anonymous, aggregated analytics that cannot identify you. Subscription billing records managed by Apple or Stripe are subject to their respective retention policies.

Cookies and analytics

Curb uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Inside the app, we use PostHog for product analytics to understand how people use Curb (which screens are visited, where the flow stalls, and which features help). PostHog receives interaction events, an app-generated identifier, and a few usage properties (such as your subscription status and region). It does not receive your full email address, your password, or your payment details. PostHog acts as our data processor and does not use your data for its own advertising.

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on curbapp.co to understand how visitors find and use our website. GA4 captures page views, button clicks, and aggregate traffic patterns. We do not enable Google Signals or advertising features. We do not send personal identifiers, email addresses, or quiz answers to GA4. IP addresses are anonymized by GA4 by default. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

GDPR (EU/EEA users)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
• Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Objection: Object to processing of your data for certain purposes.
• Restriction: Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

CCPA (California residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information.

Categories of data we collect: Identifiers (email address), home assessment information (quiz answers, room selections, listing timeline), and usage data.

Your rights:

• Right to Know: You may request details about the personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
